Say Hello

Hi there, I am so glad you found your way here. Whether you have a wedding date circled in red on the calendar, a special event coming up in the mountains of Western North Carolina, or you are still in the early, dreamy planning stages and just gathering ideas, I would love to hear from you. Saying hello is the easiest part of this whole process, and it is where every beautiful, natural, dewy look I create actually begins.

Why Reaching Out First Feels Right

I know that inquiry forms and first messages can feel a little intimidating, especially when you are juggling a hundred other details for your big day. My hope is that this page takes some of that pressure off. There is no perfect way to say hello. You do not need a fully formed vision board or a finished timeline before you get in touch. Some of my favorite collaborations started with a simple note that said something like, "I am getting married next fall in Asheville and I love a soft, glowy look, can we chat?" That is more than enough to start.

My style leans into what feels honest and fresh: skin that looks like skin, a little texture in the hair, soft floral tones, and a finished look that still feels like you, just the most rested, radiant version of you. When you reach out, I want to understand your day, your personality, and the feeling you are hoping to walk away with, not just a checklist of services.

What to Share When You Reach Out

To help me respond with useful, specific information rather than a generic reply, it helps enormously if you can include a few key details in your first message. Do not worry about having every answer locked in. Approximate is completely fine.

  • Your date, or a general season or range of dates if it is not confirmed yet
  • Your location, whether that is a venue in Asheville, somewhere else in Western North Carolina, or a destination further out
  • The type of event, such as a wedding, engagement session, styled shoot, bridal portrait day, or another special occasion
  • Your party size, meaning how many people might need hair and or makeup, including yourself
  • Any early vision or inspiration you are drawn to, whether that is a mood, a color palette, a texture, or a few photos you have saved that feel like "yes, that"

If you already have a Pinterest board, a folder of saved photos, or even just a single image that captures the feeling you want, feel free to mention it or send it along. Visual references are one of the most helpful tools we have for making sure we are speaking the same language from the very first conversation.

You Do Not Need It All Figured Out

It is worth repeating: you are allowed to reach out early and loosely. Plenty of the people I work with get in touch before they have chosen a venue, before the guest list is finalized, and long before the dress or the flowers are decided. Saying hello is not a commitment, it is simply an open door. From there, we figure out the rest together, at whatever pace feels comfortable for you.

What Happens After You Get in Touch

Once your message reaches me, here is generally how things unfold. First, expect a warm, genuine reply, not a form letter. I read every note carefully and respond with real thought, because your day deserves more than a copy and paste answer. If I have questions about your vision, your timeline, or your event, I will ask them so that any details I share back are actually useful to you.

From there, we will talk through availability for your date. Because I take on a limited number of weddings and events, checking the calendar early is genuinely helpful, but even if your date feels close, it never hurts to ask. Availability shifts, and I would rather you check than assume and miss the chance to work together.

If the date works and the connection feels right on both sides, the conversation naturally moves toward next steps. That usually includes talking about your specific vision in more depth, discussing timeline and logistics for the day itself, and, when it makes sense, setting up a trial session. A trial is one of my favorite parts of this whole journey. It is a relaxed, unhurried chance for us to sit down together, test out looks, adjust anything that does not feel quite right, and land on a finished style you feel completely confident wearing on the actual day.

A Relationship, Not Just a Transaction

I try to treat every inquiry as the start of a relationship rather than a single transaction. Weddings and special events are personal, sometimes a little vulnerable, and always meaningful, and I want the process of working together to feel warm from the very first hello all the way through the last touch up before you walk out the door. That means clear, honest communication at every step, and a genuine effort to make sure you feel heard, not just scheduled.

Traveling Around Asheville and Western North Carolina

Being based in Asheville means I get to work across some of the most beautiful scenery in Western North Carolina, from mountain overlooks to garden estates to cozy in town venues. If your celebration is happening somewhere in this region, or even a bit beyond it, feel free to mention your venue or general area when you reach out. It helps me picture the setting and think through logistics like timing and travel as part of our early conversation.

Ready When You Are

There is truly no wrong time to say hello. If you are newly engaged and just starting to dream up your day, if your wedding is fast approaching and you are finalizing details, or if you are planning a shoot, shower, or special event that calls for a soft, natural, camera ready look, I would be honored to talk it through with you. Share your date, your location, the kind of event you are planning, your party size, and whatever vision or inspiration is already living in your head or your saved photos, and let us start the conversation from there.

I cannot wait to hear about your day.
