I adore what I do. There is nothing quite like sitting down with someone in front of a mirror, getting to know them, and slowly watching their confidence rise as their reflection starts to feel more like them than ever before. I love to celebrate your uniqueness and bring your vision to life, whether that means a soft, undone bridal look for a mountain wedding, a bold and moody set of eyes for an editorial shoot, or something quiet and intimate for a boudoir session. Every face I sit down in front of teaches me something new, and I never get tired of that.
How I Got Here
My path into hair and makeup artistry started the way it does for a lot of us: with a genuine, slightly obsessive love of color, texture, and the way light plays across skin. Asheville and the surrounding mountains of Western North Carolina have always felt like home base for that curiosity. Between the changing seasons, the artists and makers who fill this town, and the natural beauty of the Blue Ridge, it is impossible not to be inspired here. Over the years I have built a practice around that inspiration, working with brides, couples, models, and creative teams who want their hair and makeup to feel like an extension of who they are rather than a mask laid on top.
I have a fondness for all things dewy and fresh, floral and textured. Skin that glows rather than looks flat, hair with movement and dimension rather than stiff perfection, color palettes that feel like they were pulled from a garden or a golden-hour photograph. That aesthetic shows up in almost everything I create, but I also love the challenge of stepping outside of it. A dramatic editorial concept, a vintage-inspired shoot, a client who wants something completely unexpected — I welcome all of it as a chance to keep growing as an artist.

Each of these calls for a different approach. A wedding day is about longevity, comfort, and making sure everyone looks and feels their best from the first look through the last dance. An editorial shoot is about pushing creative boundaries and translating an idea into something visual. Boudoir work is intensely personal, and I treat it with the gentleness and respect it deserves. No matter the setting, my goal stays the same: to help the person in the chair feel like the very best version of themselves.
Philosophy Over Formula
I do not believe in a one-size-fits-all look. Skin tones, bone structure, personal style, and personality are all part of the equation, and my job is to listen closely enough to translate all of that into something that photographs beautifully and feels natural to wear. I lean toward techniques that let real skin texture show through, soft color blending, and hairstyles that hold up to dancing, hugging, and happy tears. Even when a look calls for more drama, I try to keep it rooted in something authentic rather than costume-like.
My work is not just about the work; it is about connection, laughter, creativity, and individuality. Some of my favorite moments happen in the in-between spaces — the conversation while I am blending foundation, the laugh we share over a nervous joke before a first look, the quiet trust that builds over the course of an appointment. Those moments matter just as much to me as the finished look, because they are what make the whole experience feel personal instead of transactional.
Working Across the Region
While I am based in Asheville, my work regularly takes me across Western North Carolina and beyond, including South Carolina and Tennessee. Mountain weddings, lakeside ceremonies, downtown studio sessions, destination shoots tucked into the hills — I love that this region offers so many different backdrops, and I have built my process to travel well no matter where the day takes us. Wherever the location, my focus stays consistent: reliable timing, a calm presence on a busy day, and hair and makeup that looks as good in person as it does in photographs.
Collaboration With Other Creatives
A large part of my work happens alongside photographers, planners, florists, and other artists who care just as much about the final result as I do. I genuinely enjoy that collaborative side of the industry. Great images and unforgettable days are rarely the work of one person, and I take pride in being a dependable, easy-to-work-with part of that larger creative team, whether that is on a wedding day timeline or a full-scale editorial production.
