My approach to weddings starts long before the morning of. I want to know how you talk about your wedding, what photographs make you sigh, and what "natural" and "romantic" mean specifically to you, because every couple pictures those words a little differently. A trial is where all of that conversation becomes real. We sit together, no rush, and work through your hair and makeup as a full preview of your wedding day. I always encourage brides to bring reference photos, but I also encourage you to trust the process of trying something and adjusting it in real time. A final touch-up pass right before photographs begin, checking hairlines, lips, and any last bit of shine

Every timeline is a little different depending on your bridal party size and your venue's getting-ready space, but the goal is always the same: everyone looks and feels their best with room to breathe before the day takes over.

I genuinely love bridal party mornings. There is a particular kind of magic in a room full of your closest people, all getting ready together, trading stories while hair gets curled and lashes get placed. I aim to give each bridesmaid, mother, or family member a look that complements the group as a whole while still suiting their own coloring and features. Cohesive does not have to mean identical, and I think weddings photograph best when everyone looks like an intentional, elevated version of themselves rather than a copy-paste of one template face.

I also love working alongside grooms, groomsmen, and any other member of your crew who wants polished skin or a touch of grooming for photos. Weddings are for everyone getting ready, not just the person in the dress.

Long-Wear, Photo-Ready Artistry

Every product and technique I use is chosen with the whole day in mind, from first-look tears to the last dance. That means airbrush or long-wear foundation formulas that hold through humidity and hugs, setting techniques that keep everything in place without looking cakey, and hairstyles built to survive wind, dancing, and a few unplanned emotional moments. Photography and video are unforgiving in the best way, showing every texture and highlight in high resolution, so I build looks that read as natural and luminous both up close and from across the room, in flash photography and in soft natural light alike.

I lean toward a dewy, fresh finish rather than heavy matte coverage, because I think skin should still look like skin on your wedding day. Texture, a healthy glow, and soft-focus color work together to create images that feel timeless rather than trend-driven, the kind of photographs you will love just as much decades from now.

Beyond the Wedding Day

While weddings are the heart of what I do, that same natural, editorial sensibility carries into engagement sessions, boudoir shoots, anniversary photos, and any other creative or print work leading up to your big day. Many couples book an engagement session with me first, which doubles as a wonderful way to get comfortable in front of the camera and to test-drive a look before the wedding itself.

Traveling Across the Mountains and Beyond

Asheville and the surrounding Western North Carolina mountains are home base for me, but I regularly travel throughout the region for weddings and shoots, including into South Carolina, Tennessee, and further afield when a couple's celebration calls for it. Mountain elopements, lakeside ceremonies, and destination weekends all bring their own light, humidity, and logistics, and I build each artistry plan around the specific setting so your look holds beautifully wherever you say your vows.
